Staffing Updates
McClure has received one additional teacher to alleviate large class sizes. The position is being advertised this week and we hope to hire and adjust schedules within two weeks. We will provide additional information as classes change. Thank you for your patience.

McClure PTSA Annual Fall Direct Drive
From the PTSA: Our annual Fall Direct Drive is here! This crucial fundraiser strengthens our curriculum support and builds lasting community engagement among the families. Our Goal was $75,000 by October 21. However, to reach our goal, we are extending the Drive until October 31. THANK YOU to all the families who have already donated! You are so generous!!!
How You Can Help:
- Consider a donation of $425 per family, though any amount makes a difference!
- Check if your employer offers donation-matching.
Your support directly impacts our students by funding:
- Academic enrichment programs
- Classroom resources and technology
- Promote McClure culture and support events.

Lunchroom Behavior expectations
Lunchroom staff are noticing an increase in food and other garbage being left on tables and students not following staff instructions. Please remind your student that they should always:
- Cleanup any food brought into the cafeteria, push in chairs, and leave the tables clean.
- No running or horsing around during lunch, voices at conversation level;
- Listen to and follow all staff instructions.
Student-Family Conferences, Monday, November 25th
Student-family conferences will be held from 11:00 am through 7:00 pm on 11/25. There will be no school for students on Monday because of conferences but we will have school on Tuesday and Wednesday before the Thanksgiving holiday break. Calendar invites will be emailed to families from Advisory teachers.
Vaccination Clinic Update
The Seattle Visiting Nurse Association will host a vaccine clinic at McClure on Wednesday, November 6th between 3:30 and 6:30 pm. registration page
Spirit Week Next Week!!
It’s time to gear up for fun! Next week marks our first Spirit Week of the year. Additionally, we will have fun lunchtime games for kids, Advisory Door Decorating Competition and our first dance of the year on the 31st. More info to come. Spirit Week info will be posted on our website soon.
Monday – Blackout
Tuesday– grade level colors day
- 6th purple or green
- 7th orange or white
- 8th black or yellow
Wednesday – sports day
Thursday – costume day & Halloween Dance (dance – no masks, blood, or weapons)
Friday – PJ day
