This summer, construction will take place at McClure, funded by the voter-approved 2019 Building Excellence (BEX) Capital Levy. Capital levies are the primary way Seattle Public Schools funds building improvements.

Upcoming Improvements:

• Secure Entry Vestibule:
  • Two sets of doors with a direct connection to the main office
  • Interior doors locked during the day for added security
  • Visitors will:
    1. Ring the office for entry
    2. Enter the vestibule
    3. Check in through the office before accessing the school
• Front Office Remodel
  • Newly configured front office with built in reception desk
  • Replacement of outdated floor tiles throughout main office
• Additional Upgrades:
  • Replacement of cafeteria windows and internal courtyard windows
  • Repair or replacement of exterior doors
  • New gym ceiling tiles and added soundproofing
