    Community Learning Center (CLC)

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    Through the Families and Education Levy, the CLC coordinates, supervises, and manages the
    contracts for after school programs, lunch time programs, academic intervention programs,
    summer school, and other various projects/programs that the McClure administration requests.
    The CLC is administered by the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the Seattle School District, and funded by the Families and Education Levy.

    Your CLC (located in Room 217) is looking forward to providing exciting MOST (Maverick Out of School Time) programs that will assist students in achieving academic and social success. CLC programs run from 3:55pm-5:15pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and 2:40-4:05 pm on Wednesdays.

    Transportation home and snacks are provided to participants. We run on a semester schedule.
    Semester 1: October 14th -  January 24th (No Classes the week of 12/16-12/20)
    Semester 2: March 2nd - May 29th. Registration opens 2/3 on FamilyID.

    MOST PROGRAM REGISTRATION

    FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides families with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs. It will be helpful to have the following information handy to allow for accurate completion of your online registration: doctor information, health insurance information, Student ID. To register for After School Programming, please follow these steps:

    1. A parent/guardian should register by clicking on this link: www.familyid.com
    2. If this is your first time using FamilyID, click Create Account and follow the process below.
      1. Create your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner First and Last names (parent/guardian), E-mail address and password. Select I Agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service. Click Create Account.
      2. You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. (If you don’t see the email, check your E-mail filters (spam, junk, etc.).
      3. Click on the link in your activation E-mail, which will log you in to FamilyID.com.
      4. Once in the registration form, complete the information requested. All fields with a red* are required to have an answer.
      5. Next click on the green Register Now.
    3. If you already have a FamilyID account, Click Log In. To find your program, search for McClure Middle School under the Programs tab.
    4. Click the Continue button when your form is complete.
    5. Review your registration summary.

    MOST RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

    • Students must pre-register and be listed on the Club Attendance Roster in order to participate.
    • Classes are limited spaces, therefore students are placed on a first come, first served
      basis.
    • All school rules apply during CLC Programs.
    • Parents must contact CLC coordinator 24 hours in advance if student will not be present for MOST program.
    • Students are expected to arrive on time, and to stay in the activity area for the duration
      of that club's time.
    • Snack is provided.
    • Going off campus, for example to a store or to get a snack, before, during, or after the program (before getting on the bus) is not allowed.
    • Students are NOT allowed to remain after school or use district transportation if they
      engage in an activity outside of a school-sponsored program, or stay without parent permission.
    • Be RESPECTFUL to others in class.
    • DISRUPTIVE and UNSAFE BEHAVIOR will NOT be tolerated.

    COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER REFUND POLICY:

    For the McClure Community Learning Center, it is the policy that:

    • A full refund will be issued for any program or activity that is cancelled for any reason by
      the Community Learning Center.
    • Any person who registers for a program and who requests a refund before the second
      class may receive a prorated refund minus a service charge. The Community Learning
      Center will retain the pro-rated program fee plus a service charge of $5.00 or 10% of the fee, whichever is greater.
    • Any person who registers for a program and who requests a refund 14 days or more
      before its start, may receive a refund minus a service charge.
    • If a participant with draws from a program after the second session of a program, no refund will be given.
