McClure Daily Schedule (correction on Wednesdays) 9/14 and beyond! MCCLURE Distance Learning Daily Schedule.docx

    Hello Maverick families!

We are gearing up and so excited to see our kids!  Our staff is working hard to provide a supportive opening to reconnect our kids to school and each other and to gear up for their success in the remote learning environment.

During your distribution session, remember to follow directions upon arrival to ensure health and safety of all including wearing a mask and staying home if you have any COVID symptoms.  Please speak with your student about this.  We cannot allow students or family members to congregate on campus.  We will have signage and support staff to help students cycle through the distribution stations and then vacate campus...very much looking forward to see you all on these distribution dates...we miss our kids!!

Here are some helpful updates and tools:

How to View Student Class Schedules starting Wednesday evening:

Students should be able to view their schedules by the evening of Wednesday, September 2.  Student schedules are posted on the Source, the same platform where you can check your student’s grades and attendance.

As a reminder, we will not be making schedule changes based on course or teacher preference. If there is an obvious mistake (for example, a 6th grader in an 8th grade history class, or two sections of PE in one semester), do reach out to our school registrar, Lisa Blau: lmblau@seattleschools.org

To reach the Source (to view schedules), please follow these directions:

    1. Go to the Seattle Public Schools website (www.seattleschools.org).
    2. Click the “Student Family Portal” button.
    3. Click the blue button that says "The Source.”
    4. Sign in using your student’s username (example: 1jmthompson) and password.
    5. OR if you have a parent/guardian account already set up, sign in using the email address and password on file.

If you have not already signed up for a parent/guardian account on the Source, you can do so by following these directions: https://www.seattleschools.org/departments/dots/support_training_forms/source/source_account_set_up

How to log on to Strong Start Activities (September 4-11): To access their Advisory teacher who will be leading the Strong Start Activities, students will log into SCHOOLOGY and find their Advisory course, where the Teams link will be posted. Advisory teachers will also post asynchronous (independent) activities on their Schoology page.

Schoology is accessed by going to the SPS website and accessing the ‘student family portals’ tab.

STUDENTS: Students login using their SPS email and password. Teachers will post curriculum, assignments, weekly schedules, and assessments on this site. Most student work will be done on Schoology.

PARENTS: Parents/guardians should create a Schoology account to monitor their child’s progress and check class announcements. To create a parent/guardian account in Schoology, first set up a Source account. Then use this guide to set up a Schoology account.
