Worth McClure Middle School
McClure Middle School is the smallest comprehensive middle in the Seattle School District; Our staff members play a significant role in ensuring that our students develop character and skills necessary to being influential and contributing members of the community and the global society as a whole.
Our student demographics are 5% African-American,11% Hispanic, 10% Asian, 67% White, 7% Multiracial. 16% of our students receive Special Education services, and 5% are English Language Learners. All of our Language Arts Classrooms are intentionally blended/clustered with General Education and Spectrum-identified students.
All of our Social Studies and Science classrooms are fully inclusive with Special Education, General Education and Spectrum-identified students. We have no “honors” math courses;students are placed in math courses based almost completely on the previous year’s math course mastery (i.e. students taking 6th grade math will move into 7th grade math).
McClure Middle School is a community committed to eliminating the achievement gap and providing all of our students with a rich, culturally responsive and equitable academic program. It is our commitment to enrich the lives of students by offering a variety of classes and activities that stimulate learning and develop knowledge and skills across a broad spectrum of experiences.
