    McClure Middle School
    Community Learning Center (CLC)

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    Through the Families and Education Levy, the CLC coordinates, supervises, and manages the
    contracts for after school programs, lunch time programs, academic intervention programs,
    summer school, and other various projects/programs that the McClure administration requests.
    The CLC is administered by the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the Seattle School District, and funded by the Families and Education Levy.

    Your CLC (located in Room 217) is looking forward to providing exciting MOST (Maverick Out of School Time) programs that will assist students in achieving academic and social success. CLC programs run from 3:55pm-5:15pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and 2:40-4:40 pm on Wednesdays.

    Transportation home and snacks are provided to participants. We run on a semester schedule.
    Semester 1: October 15th – January 17th
    Semester 2: February 25th – May 23rd

    MOST PROGRAM REGISTRATION

    Registration forms for 1st session MOST programs will be available on October 1st in the main
    office, attendance office, in the CLC (located in Room 217), or on the MOST web page on the
    McClure website. Once we receive registration forms they are put into our CLC attendance
    system and we contact parents/guardians via email or phone call to confirm.

    Please note: Programs fill up fast and are on a first come, first served registration basis.

    MOST RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

    • Students must pre-register and be listed on the Club Attendance Roster in order to participate.
    • Classes are limited spaces, therefore students are placed on a first come, first served
      basis.
    • All school rules apply during CLC Programs.
    • Students are expected to arrive on time, and to stay in the activity area for the duration
      of that club's time.
    • Snack is provided. Going off campus, such as to a store (before, during, or after sessions) is not allowed.
    • Students are NOT allowed to remain after school or use district transportation if they
      engage in an activity outside of a school-sponsored program, or stay without parent permission.
    • Be RESPECTFUL to others in class.
    • DISRUPTIVE and UNSAFE BEHAVIOR will NOT be tolerated.

    COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER REFUND POLICY:

    For the McClure Community Learning Center, it is the policy that:

    • A full refund will be issued for any program or activity that is cancelled for any reason by
      the Community Learning Center.
    • Any person who registers for a program and who requests a refund before the second
      class may receive a prorated refund minus a service charge. The Community Learning
      Center will retain the pro-rated program fee plus a service charge of $5.00 or 10% of the fee, whichever is greater.
    • Any person who registers for a program and who requests a refund 14 days or more
      before its start, may receive a refund minus a service charge.
    • If a participant with draws from a program after the second session of a program, no refund will be given.
