Emily Gallagher is the creator of My College Game Plan, College Application Café, and founder of Edge Academics & Athletics, LLC.  Concerned that high school families and students often lack key information and adequate preparation for high school and college, Emily has sought to bridge the gap between hopes and experience by developing a program for academic and collegiate success.  Today’s choices do affect tomorrow’s possibilities, and Emily is excited to share her professional educational wisdom with individual families and small groups.

She shares 7 years of independent college counseling guidance and over 18 years of secondary instructional expertise with families seeking an academic edge preparing for high school and college.  She has taught English, history, and basketball to over a thousand young people, and has guided dozens of high school juniors and seniors through the college application maze.  Her unique background as a scholar-athlete provides invaluable insight in relating with students and inspiring them to reach their potential.  From study skills to test taking, from essay writing to critical thinking, students and parents describe Emily’s teaching and knowledge of educational systems as caring,  passionate, and effective.
